Our Name
We chose our name for its timeless quality and soothing tone.
Ambrose is an ancient name, yet it also possesses a warmth and refinement
that feels very modern. Additionally, Ambroise Paré is a historical figure
considered one of the fathers of surgery which is a nod to Ambrose Oakland’s
location in the Pill Hill neighborhood. Our name also alludes to ambrosia,
the food and drink of Greek gods that conferred immortality on those who
imbibed. In that spirit, we aspire to be a place of rejuvenation for our residents.
